Upcoming Upcycling Saturday Craft

This Saturday we have another exciting craft in the works at the Central Library. We’ll be making cute little “robots” out of old boxes and once again turning trash into treasure. Like all of our Upcycling crafts, this uses a combination re-purposed materials – in this case cardboard – and traditional craft supplies and helps to instill values of reuse and recycling by emphasizing the continued use of items that might otherwise be discarded.

I’m really excited about this craft which features movable arms, legs, and head and allows kids to express their creativity by decorating their new “robots” with a selection of craft supplies. I’m expecting the kids to outdo me once again and put my example to shame!

The craft will take place at the Central Library from 3-4pm. Children of all ages are welcome with caregiver and no registration is required. If you’d like more information
