Some Fancy Fingers at WPL

Saturday was a busy day here at the Central library. Between our Upcycling Crafts program and the Get to Know Your Muslim Neighbor Day, things were bustling. The Muslim women’s group provided WPL customers and staff with all kinds of treats for all ages. The women brought in some authentic cuisine including the best samosas I’ve ever tasted, applied some beautiful henna tattoos to WPL staff and customers, and demonstrations on how to wear a hijab. It was a fun and informative experience!

Later in the afternoon our Upcycling Craft program was a hit as well. Once again, all in attendance made beautiful and creative crafts that put my samples to shame. Many of the children had henna tattoos as well and, with the addition of their new rings, showed off some very fancy fingers!

Overall, it was a day not to be missed but one of many fun days here at WPL, make sure you’re following our Blog and take a look at our April program guide for fun programs for all ages.
