Online Resources for Auto Repair

Are you a car enthusiast? Auto repair DIYer? Have you recently purchased a new or used car that you would like to learn more about? Do you have a general interest in cars and how they work? If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions, then we’ve got two easy to use databases that are perfect for you: Chilton Library and Auto Repair Reference Center.

Both of these databases contain important information about automotive maintenance and repair, and both work in a similar way.  Simply start by entering the Year, Make, and Model of your vehicle.  From there, use the menu on the left hand side of the page to drill down to the content that you seek.  When you find what you are looking for, there are options for printing and/or emailing the sections that are relevant to your search.

Although these two databases are similar in many ways, they do each contain several unique features.  Here is a list of some of the most popular content in each:

Chilton Library

-Step-by-step service and repair procedures supported by close-up graphics
-Vacuum diagrams to simplify troubleshooting
-Wiring diagrams to help explain system operation
-Close-up photographs and illustrations
-A print button that allows users to print out only what they need
-Repair information for many vehicles manufactured between 1940 and 2014
