Join Us for Upcycling on Saturday at Central

We’ve been making crafts all winter here at Central library and this Saturday we’ll be making butterflies out of recycled materials to celebrate spring’s long-awaited arrival. Our Upcycling programs always include at least one recycled item and are meant to teach children the value of preserving our resources by making new items out of objects they might otherwise have thrown out. Previous programs have used packing materials, water bottles, greeting cards, and old magazines.

For this Saturday’s program we’ll be using paper tubes from gift wrap and paper towels to make colorful butterflies. The program can be modified for virtually all age groups and children are encouraged to use their imaginations!

No registration is required and children of all ages are welcome with a caregiver. The program runs from 3-4pm on Saturday, March 22nd. For more information please contact Kate at 519-255-6770 ex. 4434.
