This week’s Throwback Thursday Pic travels back in time 155 years ago to 1863. Today’s photograph shows the commercial district of the Town of Windsor in the middle of the nineteenth century. Windsor became a town in 1858 and was incorporated as a village in 1854 with the arrival of the railway. The picture shows Sandwich Street(today Riverside Drive) as it was before the arrival of the automobile with plenty of traffic of the horse and buggy kind, travelling along the dirt street.
