63 People Came In From The Cold To Create At Sandwich Library, Thursday, February 1

Click on READ MORE and take a look at the fun photos of our first THURSDAY FAVOURITE FEBRUARY CRAFTS.   Thanks to everyone who helped to make SANDWICH LIBRARY a real warm place of creativity all day yesterday.  Sandwich Library, like all Windsor Public Libraries, has a terrific collection of  books, DVDs, and magazines on various crafts and hobbies.  Every Thursday this month our programs will be highlighting this collection. 28 ADULTS, 9 TEENS and 26 CHILDREN, from ages 3 to over 63, took part in the 10:30 am to 12:00 noon, and the 3:00 pm – 5:00 programs on our first day yesterday.  13 people took home fabrics from our fabric swap and the rest PAINTED and/or made the craft of the day. CREATIVE ENERGY WAS IN EVERY CORNER AT SANDWICH. Register today for our next Thursday event.  Space and supplies are limited.  We have a terrific time.

It is a good thing the set up was done on Wednesday night as the first adults arrived as soon as we opened at 10 on Thursday and stayed until about 12:30 talking and socializing after a morning of painting and doll making.  The children arrived at 3:00 read, painted, did the craft, played games then left at 5.  The teens arrived at 4 and stayed until closing socializing after the program.  It was a great day.
