‘Library Live Talks”at Sandwich Library – January 6, 2018

Marina McCarthy, winner of  the Windsor Essex County Senior Games – Tennis Women 65+ gold medal, shared her experiences with club members on how to keep healthy and fit.

After today’s first session of Jumping in January children, teens, and SANDWICH LIBRARY patrons were motivated by Ms. McCarthy’s inspiring talk.

Library Live Children’s club teen volunteers and club members had just finished 1 minute of continuous skipping challenge. They were tired and more than a bit surprised at how challenging skipping for such a short time could be. Our club members write, read, act, do art, and make crafts but now they are learning the importance of exercise regularly.

Ms. Marina is over 65 and at the end of her talk club members were more determined to keep exercising so they can face and beat my next Jumping in January fitness challenge on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm. So please join us as we continue to learn many things including how to safely KEEP FIT as we keep the winter cold at bay.

I promise, you will have loads of fun and meet some amazing people as well.
We hope to see you.

Here is additional information on Ms. McCarthy and her Partner.
