A Conversation With Jeff Lemire @ Windsor Public Library

As part of our celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday, we are pleased to be hosting a conversation with Jeff Lemire. It takes place Saturday January 28th at 2:00pm in our Central Library.

Jeff Lemire is an internationally recognised and award winning graphic novelist. Join us and hear about his work and the creative process behind The Secret Path, his collaboration with Gord Downie of the Tragically Hip. It tells the tale of Chanie Wenjack, and his experience in Canada’s residential school system.

Mr. Lemire is a supremely talented illustrator and writer, and we are thrilled to be hosting what is sure to be a fascinating afternoon. All are welcome, and admission is free.

A Conversation with Jeff Lemire

I have been at WPL since 2012. Currently I'm a librarian at the Central Library. My biggest literary interests are historical fiction and fantasy. I also enjoy my sports, and all that Windsor has to offer.

Jeff Lemire’s upcoming lecture on January 28, 2017 at the WPL a great idea to showcase and inspire people by a talented and creative individual. Good to see the WPL offering such a timely and social cognizant individual. Keep up the good work. Be great to see the City of Windsor Planning Dept. offer some similar creative and social cognizant talent in their realm of endeavour and comply with the Provincial Climate Change Policy in revitalizing Windsor. Rather than promoting sprawl/mall plans like the current location and design for the proposed W-E ‘MegaHospital’
