Rt. Hon. Herb Gray Parkway: new report available for public review

A design and construction report pertaining to “New structures at the western terminus of the Highway 401 (Rt. Hon. Herb Gray Parkway)” has been made available for public review and comment by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation.

Copies of the document will be available at the Central, Nikola Budimir and Sandwich Libraries for a 30 day period, running November 18, 2016 through December 19, 2016.

    H.G. Parkway never completed the Bicycle and Pedestrian Trails they promised the community back 2010. H.G. Parkway map from 2010 clearly indicates new trails to be built beginning East of Howard Ave. extending the full length of the H.G. Parkway, Westward to the Ojibway Parkway. The new H.G. Parkway Trails were actually only built to Malden Road, where they now ‘dead-end’. Citizens of Windsor did not get what they were promised from this ‘Public Private Partnership’ (P3) nor from the present Provincial Liberal Government that under took it.
