Library Hosts Scrabble Tournament

The Self-Publishing Centre at Windsor Public Library is hosting a Scrabble Tournament this Saturday from 1 to 4 pm. Local celebrity ‘wordsmiths’ will be on hand to match wits – and words – with members of the community!

Tournament organizers believe that Scrabble is the perfect vehicle to draw attention to literacy, have fun with words and draw attention to the wealth of literary talent in the Windsor area.

The MC will be Tony Doucette from CBC Radio. Some of the local celebrities confirmed to participate include local authors Christopher Paul Curtis and Lenore Langs, library board member and City Councillor Rino Bortolin, lawyer and poet Peter Hrastovec and library board chair, Dr. Peter Frise.
