Great Courses at Windsor Public Library

We’ve acquired a pilot collection of Great Courses – these are university level courses on a variety of topics, delivered by DVD or CD with accompanying booklet. Produced by the Teaching Company, they feature award-winning university lecturers and studio-quality audio and video. Our initial collection consists of 6 courses on diverse topics, from cooking to mythology and finance to music. Be sure to ask our staff about them.

These items will be held at Central, behind the circulation desk. The Loan period is 1 month, holdable, renewable, no limit to borrow.  Overdue fine will be $1/day.

Enjoyed the Great Courses title: Myths, Lies, and Half-Truths of Language Usage.

Other titles that it would be great if the library acquired them:

    The Story of Human Language
    Fundamentals of Sustainable Living
    Polar Explorations
    The Nature of Matter
A welcome innovation to your collections policy.
    Thank you

I am interested in the courses and would like to have a list of them.
Would you be able to send me more information so that I can check them out?
    Thank you in advance!

Go to the Windsor Public Library Catalogue then type in the Search box “great courses”, then click on the “Search” button. On the left hand side on the screen under “format”, click on “other” (next to the blue square with a white arrow inside) then check the “kit” box.
This should display only the great courses kits. I hope this helps.
