Saturday Crafternoon: November 22

Please join us at the Central library for one of my favourite upcycling crafts! We’ll be using recycled materials to make water bottle snowmen. We had a blast making them last year and I’m happy to be able to post a craft made by one of last year’s participants.

Crafts involving recycled materials are a great way to teach children about conservation and to emphasize the importance of preserving our resources. The kids always out-do me with their creativity and I’m glad to be able to give them the tools to make the craft work however their hearts desire! I’m looking forward to seeing what they make this year and I’ll be sharing some of their best efforts with all of you.

This program runs Saturday, November 22 from 3-4pm at the Central Library at 850 Ouellette. No registration is required and children of all ages are welcome with a caregiver. If you have any questions please call Kate at 519-255-6770 x. 4434.

One point for clarification, this craft can easily be done with recycled materials but, for hygienic reasons, I have purchased new water bottles for this craft.
